Dry Skin

Dry skin causes the skin to look and feel rough, flaky, and itchy. The location of these dry patches varies from person to person. It is a common condition that affects people of all ages.

Combination Skin

Combination skin is not a skin type in itself, as it can be either dry or oily (hyperseborrheic). It is characterised by an oily T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) and normal to dry (or even flaky) skin on the rest of the face.

Oily Skin

Oily skin is fairly easy to identify, as certain clinical signs are typical of hyperseborrhea. Firstly, excess sebum makes the skin greasy and shiny, especially in the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin). Also characteristic of oily skin are uneven skin texture, dilated pores, the presence of comedones (the famous blackheads and whiteheads) and makeup not staying on the skin.
